Sony Online Entertainment LLC today announced that the continuation of DC Universe Online's (DCUO) War of the Light trilogy, War of the Light Part II, is now available for the PC, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation 4 system. In the game's 12th downloadable content (DLC) pack, players continue to unravel the mystery behind the loss of the emotional entities and their connection to the Emotional Spectrum.

HIGHLIGHTS:

For the first time in DCUO, players will travel to Zamaron (home of the Star Sapphires) and Qward (center of the antimatter universe)

This DLC marks the debut of Carol Ferris and the Star Sapphires in DCUO

War of the Light Part II features a plethora of new single and multiplayer content:

8- and 4-Player Operations
4-Player Alert
2-Player Duo
Single-Player Challenge Mode
Open-World Solo Missions

Players now have access to a variety of new gear and styles, including:

Larfleeze-inspired gear for Villains

Saint Walker-inspired gear for Heroes

Manhunter-inspired gear for all male characters

Star Sapphire-inspired gear for all female characters

Includes six new skill points, new Collections, Feats and Base items

STORYLINE: The fate of the entire Emotional Spectrum hangs in the balance of an uneasy alliance between Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Sinestro in War of the Light Part II. Feeling that love has been endangered by this relentless war, Carol Ferris and the Star Sapphires have also come to Earth to restore their own entity and stop the strife ... and all who get in their way.

PART I RECAP: In the first part of the War of the Light trilogy, Lanterns of all colors lost connection with their Emotional Spectrum's entities and strange mists descended upon Metropolis, affecting the citizens' emotions. Following cryptic evidence, four Corps - Green, Blue, Sinestro, and Red - converged on Earth, determined to find out what happened to their entities and subsequently caused a new war of light.

DCUO's War of the Light Part II DLC is available as a free download for Members and for purchase by non-members via the PlayStation Network, the in-game Marketplace, or for PC players via the DCUniverseOnline.com website.

The developers presenting at SOE were able to announce a litany of upcoming content including new Iconic heroes and villains like Blue Lantern Kyle Rayner (announced to be in this fall's Game Update #41), Red Lantern Guy Gardner,  as well as the War of the Light Part 2 which will take the players to more of the lantern worlds including Zamaron (home of the Star Sapphires) and expand the story to include more of the Emotional Spectrum’s 'Torch Bearing' characters and the deputies that where introduced in the instant classic comic book epic, including Larfleeze, Orange Lantern Lex Luthor, and Star Sapphire Wonder Woman.

We posted that the upcoming game Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham includes Arkillo and Bleez now it's been revealed that Sinestro and Green Lantern John Stewart will be in the game as well, and the line up continues to grow. Check out the pics below.

The Gamespot video (via The Blog Of Oa) above confirms the rumor that Green Lantern characters, other Corps specifically, will appear in the game. Both Arkillo and Bleez  are featured in the video, it's possible more GL characters will be in the game as well.
