Venditti talks about Hal Jordan’s growth into a leader who actually uses strategy and accepting responsibility as leader of the Green Lantern Corps. In the next big story, the question is asked “How much can we evolve as people and not lose the key elements of who we are?” Regarding the Fatality storyline in Green Lantern Corps, Van Jensen states it was hard to write because “it was a tough ringer for John [Stewart] who’s been through so much already”. Issue #34 will have John looking for the real Fatality.

As for Red Lanterns, Soule discusses the difference between Guy and Atrocitus, and the Red Lanterns’ transformation from cult to space bikers, summing up the events leading up to the Atrocitus War so far. He says Atrocitus’s new robes are for his role as a “Blood Priest”. The fight will have epic space battles and deep character-driven storylines.

The Anti-Monitor, Earth 2, and the upcoming Green Lantern “Godhead Event” are all tied together by the New Gods.
